Match day 18 Preview of I League:


     Returns this weekend with the Championship race for the third day of the second round, where we have several interesting duels in the various struggles that this event still arouses.
     The leader Benfica receave the Nacional and can not help to maintain the advantage over the dragons who receive Uniao Leiria and no longer want to lose more points for not losing track of the leader. Braga plays well at home and receives the Setubal, a game in which you want to achieve Braga Porto and Setubal want out of last place.
     In Madeira we have the great game of the day, with Maritimo receiving Sporting and whoever wins is in 4th place. In the Beira Mar Aveiro receives Guimarães who lives a very unstable.
      In Coimbra Academica team receives the time, Gil Vicente, while in Pacos de Ferreira have a duel between northern and Feirense Hall, where the winner can give a good jump in the struggle for maintenance.

 Aftermath of the 17th Day of the I League:

     FC Porto lost a game in Barcelos bad team blue and white, which at 60 minutes was already losing by 3-0, and thus sees the move away from Benfica, who this day suffered added another victory, this time in difficult terrain the Feirense, where he won after been missing.
     Braga was winning the Wood in the great game of the day and consolidated its position in places of Champions, and indeed only three points of the vice leadership.
     In Alvalade Sporting finally returned to winning ways with two goals from Captain America, the central defender Onyewu scored twice in the head-pieces and unlocked so a game that resulted in the first victory for the Lions this year.
     Guimarães defeated Nacional Madeira and thus gained the advantage of competition in the struggle for 6th place which may give access to Europe.
     In the struggle for the maintenance and there were several important games that caused the rating change much because the Setubal and Uniao Leiria lost at home and fell to last place, are now both below the water line. But the fight is red hot as they are six teams separated by just two points.

      The newly ascended Feirense and Gil Vicente will receive the two candidates for the title, Benfica and Porto respectively, and will try to get them points as they did in the first round. The big game of the day is played with Maritimo in Madeira to receive Braga, a duel between two teams that are making a major championship.
      Sporting receives the Beira Mar and has to win but certainly may be some changes, enjoying the last days of January. In Guimarães, the opening of the journey, we have an exciting win against Nacional, two teams that are rising and they want to approach the European places, let's see which has more weapons to do so.
      The struggle for the maintenance, this is an interesting journey it has three duels that can sink a few and help save others. In Vila do Conde Rio Ave get the Academica that appears to be losing form. In Leiria play two teams that seem to want to recover, because Gauteng has made good results and Pacos Ferreira finally won.
     Finally, the Setubal receives Olhanense and needs to win to try to avoid a possible change of coach.
 Expect a quality journey with unpredictable results.

            Eusebio da Silva Ferreira was born in Mozambique, 25 January 1942 completing 70 years today.
 It is considered one of the best footballers of all time by the IFFHS, experts and fans.

 Eusebio helped the Portuguese national team reach third place in World Championship 1966, being the highest scorer of the competition (receiving the Golden Boot), with nine goals (six of which were scored at Goodison Park) and having received the Ball Bronze. He won the Golden Ball in 1965 and finished second in the same award in 1962 and 1966. Eusebio played for Benfica 15 of his 22 years as a football player, being mainly associated with Portuguese club, and is the best scorer of the team with 638 goals in 614 official games. In Benfica won 11 National Championships, 5 Cups of Portugal, a European Cup and helped to reach the final three European Cup. It was the highest scorer of the European Cup in 1965, 1966 and 1968. He also won the Silver Ball seven times (national record). It was the first player to win the Golden Boot in 1968, a feat repeated later in 1973.
 Nicknamed The Black Panther, The Black Pearl or The King of Portugal, Eusebio scored 733 goals in 745 matches in his career. He was known for his speed and his powerful right foot shot need, making it an excellent prolific scorer. It is considered the best player ever for Benfica and Portugal and one of the first advanced world-class African.
